Technology
Tissuepatch3 is manufactured by a team of dedicated and professional polymer
chemists and technicians under class 7 (10,000) clean room conditions. State of the
art characterisation and analysis techniques ensure only the highest quality product
is released.
Tissuepatch3 has a fused multilayer structure containing patented reactive polymers
for chemical bonding to tissue surface, and a non-adhesive backing material for ease
of handling and prevention of post-surgical adhesions. The patch remains in position
until absorbed in about 50 days.

Compostion Tissuepatch3
Carboxylic acid groups for inital tack via electrostatic interactions
Functionalised carboxylic acid groups for covalent chemical bonding
Tissue Surface
Tissue surface rich in protein groups containing amine and other nucleophilic functionalities

|
Stage 1. Application: Ready to use and easy to apply
Moderate pressure applied for several seconds allows contact ashesive to hold Tissuepatch3 onto tissue surface
|
 |
|
Stage 2. Rapid adhesion and sealing within 30 seconds
Amide bonds form rapidly between Tissuepatch3 and the tissue surface
The patch is strongly adhered flush to the surface to seal the wound to prevent leaks of air, blood and/or fluid
